RAINFALL WATER REUSE

In the last years, the reuse of rainfall water is becoming more known, not only by environmental advantages but also by economical causes.  In houses, only the third part of used water has to be drinking water, meanwhile two thirds of the water can be reused from rainwater for many different applications like: water for bathroom lavatories, for plants and gardens watering, for clothes washing, vehicles washing, etc. Drinking water will obviously be indispensable in different applications (cooking, personal hygiene…) but the objective consists on reducing two thirds of the drinking water consumption. This reduction is really interesting, therefore State and Council Governments are going for this water management strategy.

Depuraciones Vela S.L. has an extensive range of products to reuse rainwater, thinking of the different applications and the necessary quality required in each one. Reusing rainwater for irrigation and watering is the most usual application. The needed equipment in this case is quite simple, with a water tank connected to the roof drainage of the house with a previous anti-leaves filter. In the case of reusing rainwater for housing applications, a separate piping of drink water and reused water is needed. Before entering into the house it is recommended to install a management system to control the availability of rainwater in the tank, and if not, to temporarily use drinking water.
